SUMMER TREAT

Children at Barnton Primary School were given a special treat on Thursday for working hard to keep their classrooms clean.

The school has received £1,000 after taking part in the David Bellamy award for environmental cleanliness and beat more than 700 schools to claim the runner up spot. Staff decided to treat the pupils to an ice cream, provided by Great Budworth Ice Cream Farm, to thank them for their efforts to keep the school clean, tidy and free of litter.
