Waste worries
CONCERNS have been raised about green waste being dumped in the roadside in Wincham. Clr Frank Smith raised the issue at Wincham Parish Council last week, telling councillors he had seen clippings left at the side of Earle's Lane. He said: "I'm appalled by the number of people who clearly have brown recycling bins for garden waste who just seem to put their garden rubbish and grass clippings on the verges at the side of the road. "I don't know if they think the farmers will take them away. "It's dreadful. It's coming over the paths, it's starting to smell and it looks a real mess." Clr Jim Bate added: "The problem is finding out who is responsible for it."
