David's got blood on his hands - but is he the mystery writer?

"I BET you know the activities of all the walk-in wardrobes in the street!" exclaimed Norris, after finding Rita hiding among his clothes.

In what had to be the comedy escapade of the week, Rita found herself trapped in her own flat listening to Norris cavorting with his date, Helen (Coronation Street).

Further down the street, there was a shock in store for Gail when she realised that David had a paper cut.

Cue the ba-dum, ba-dum soundtrack as her mouth dropped open in surprise.

Earlier, a 'get well soon' message to the boy himself was left on the kitchen table, sending Gail into a frenzy as she realised that whoever was carrying out the evil deeds had access to her home.

Her investigation uncovered more evidence when she discovered blood on the card and on the envelope, and she made a hasty call to the police.

"I'm Gail Platt - I've been receiving cards, supposedly from my dead ex-husband."

I notice she didn't add 'serial killer' to the description.

So, is David the culprit, or will there be a surprise twist on Sunday when Gail finally makes an accusation?

Could it turn out to be Sarah? Jason? Maria? Phil? Was the mystery writer under the dryer in the salon when David's illness was being discussed?

All will be revealed soon.

Over in Hollyoaks, Mel attended a meeting with the AA man, and all the alcoholism clichés in the book were wheeled out for the script.

It made me think, though. She was advised to get rid of all her drinking friends. If I had to give up all my drinking friends, I wouldn't have any left.

While all this was going on, there was tragedy playing out at Mandy and Tony's when baby Grace died.

In the aftermath, while Tony moped around hugging his laptop, Sarah Dunn put in a moving performance as Mandy.

You can't blame the girl for thinking it was all her fault. She's got Jessica Fletcher syndrome - get close to her and you've got a good chance of experiencing a premature death.

It's about time she had some good luck, but will Tony be able to make her happy after their daughter's death? I fear this could be the end for the young couple...

Only one good thing came out of Mandy and Tony's plight. It put an end to Becca and Justin's plans to run away, which paves the way for their affair to be exposed among family and friends - very soon. Be ashamed Becca, be very ashamed..!
